Join us in revolutionising our digital experiences! As UX/UI Developer you’ll be at the forefront of change within the business, working within our UX team to build new and enhance current journeys.

Coupled with our MVT testing platform you will be using JavaScript, HTML and CSS along with React to create and test new features and functionality, to allow us a consistently new understanding of user preferences and behaviours.

A key feature of this role is the ability to problem-solve, you will be responsible for identifying best practice and optimising solutions. You will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient at writing clean, well-tested and optimised code.

You will be inquisitive and show a willingness to innovate through an understanding of current and emerging market trends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working within our UX team to understand the testing roadmap and prioritisation of tests
  • Working closely with UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs
  • Use insights to inform the evolution of each variation through iterative design and development
  • Lead and support for the wider ecommerce team with any issues that may arise on the website
  • Working closely with the product team to share and translate front-end functional specs
  • Generate variations of user experiences to test and understand how best to optimise the websites for our shoppers
  • Translating briefs, concepts and wireframes in to real life customer experiences via our testing platform and through building react components
  • QA of all changes before going live
  • Be comfortable using Vanilla JavaScript to manipulate the DOM

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Strong experience with React (or similar Front End frameworks) preferably using modern techniques such as hooks and working with TypeScript
  • Experience in mobile first responsive web design
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Solid understanding of user interface / user interaction design
  • An understanding of market trends and innovations
  • Proficiency using Git version control
  • Expert knowledge of Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS (including Less, Sass)
  • Experience building to Accessibility Standards (WCAG)
  • Ability to debug code and fix issues
