You’ll help to develop and deliver a tailored health and well-being program (for our Eastern Creek sites) that’s in line with workforce issues discovered from demographic and workers compensation data.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executing the pre-employment functional screening process as part of the overall fitness for work strategy and conduct pre-employment functional capacity evaluations in accordance with industry tools
  • Facilitating fit for work processes in consultation with the Site Manager, State Safety Manager and People and Culture Manager
  • Ensuring all workers compensation case files are maintained in line with legislative requirements
  • Liaising with Treating Medical Practitioners and Coles Team Cover (CTC) Case Managers to develop a holistic and strategic case management plan for each claim
  • Project managing allied health providers engaged on the site including, but not limited to, onsite physiotherapy
  • Coaching and supporting the site management team to deliver excellence in workers compensation, injury management and fitness for work processes

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

  • The ability to influence a range of stakeholders and work in a dynamic environment with Team Members from diverse backgrounds
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a physical allied health profession (preferably Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology) with a few years’ experience in workplace rehabilitation
  • Experience and technical knowledge of Workers Compensation Legislation, as well as an excellent understanding of injury mechanism and recovery
  • An ability to oversee all parts of the supply chain injury management spectrum (InjuryCare, SafetyCare etc.)
  • The know how when it comes to conducting Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, analytical and interpersonal skills with a level of confidence to engage with Medical Practitioners
