Graduate Petroleum Engineer – Chevron Careers

Job Description:

The successful candidate will start in one of the asset teams as a graduate petroleum engineer typically as a production or reservoir engineer responsible for following the day to day operations, optimize production, review and assess development plans and support the various projects like drilling campaigns and reservoir surveillance activities. In addition to on the job learning there is the opportunity to enhance and accelerate career development through focused training.

Job Requirements:

  • Desired start date for this position is September 2019. Therefore we are only interested in candidates that will or have finished their MSc by year end 2019.
  • Position is based in Aberdeen, Scotland
  • Preferred – MSc degree in petroleum engineering discipline
  • Required – BSc in Engineering or Geology at 2.1 or greater

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
  • Other extracurricular experience
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry, including internships, would be an advantage
  • Proactive and ability to challenge where appropriate
  • Strong analytical & technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
