We seek a Senior Geophysicist to lead, manage, and grow our MR Geophysical Program in providing complex geophysical and advanced geophysical classification (AGC) services world-wide. As the MR Geophysical Program Manager you will be asked to direct all AECOM geophysical resources, develop winning technical approaches, work alongside MR project managers and subject matter experts, and implement and oversee AECOM’s AGC accreditation to serve our DoD, State, and commercial clients. As the program manager you will direct and mentor our geophysics staff and coordinate in-house and external resources to ensure program and project objectives are being achieved at a high level of safety, quality, and efficiency. This position is open to telecommute. Job Responsibilities: Lead all MR Geophysical resources, hiring staff as needed to meet the demands of the MR program. Ensure the proper selection/utilization of the various types of geophysical instruments and ancillary components including high precision global positioning systems, inertial motion sensors, and software to control and integrate the geophysical system as a whole Conduct site visits or fieldwork as required Interface with Environment Remediation and MR Leadership to provide regular MR Geophysical Program status updates Confirm geophysical projects are being conducted in compliance with approved plans in a manner that assures technical completeness, accuracy, and ingenuity, and identifies and secures additional expertise where needed Able to perform geophysical data processing and analysis for traditional digital geophysical mapping surveys Manage and monitor the quality of geophysical data acquired by the site/field geophysicists from geophysical systems, including advanced electromagnetic induction (EMI) instruments. Attend webinars, conferences, and symposiums as necessary to ensure the MR Geophysical Program is current with all required DoD requirements and to further develop the program and geophysicists Ensuring required geophysical deliverables meet required quality standards and are submitted on schedule Lead and/or participate in proposal efforts Prepare applicable work sheets for planning documents such as the MR QAPP, Module 1.
