Job Description: The Sustainability Advisor is a member of the Corporate Responsibility team, reporting into the Head of Corporate Responsibility. You’ll be providing expert environmental and sustainability knowledge and driving sustainable change across ASOS’ operations in collaboration with a range of stakeholders. Primary business partners are in Logistics, Delivery Solutions, Space, Procurement, Lean, Comms and more. The post holder will also collaborate with others delivering Fashion with Integrity for ASOS, including the wider Corporate Responsibility team and the Responsible Sourcing department. Job Responsibilities: Working with Marketing and Corporate Communications teams to communicate progress and case studies on operational sustainability via platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter Working with wider CR team and Responsible Sourcing department to report against the ASOS Net Zero strategy including carbon reduction targets and offsetting projects Liaising with Delivery Solutions team and carrier partners to measure and understand carbon emissions associated with ASOS deliveries and returns Engaging with Inbound logistics and Global Trading teams to identify opportunities for further improving environmental management of inbound and inter-site transport and logistics Working with relevant teams to understand the Net Zero goals and how they can impact and influence their successful delivery Regularly engaging with logistics partners, freight forwarders and carriers on their sustainability and emissions reductions initiatives, partnering on projects and programmes where relevant Contributing towards external corporate reporting including the ASOS annual report and sustainability report, updating the ASOS plc corporate website and developing investor briefings on operational sustainability Liaising with other key FWI teams, such as Responsible Sourcing, to coordinate the management of carbon emissions across the business Working closely with external energy procurement and management partners to understand energy consumption, report performance to relevant teams and identify and deliver energy saving programmes and initiatives Project managing the Sustainability pillar within the Lean thinking approach at ASOS which focuses on energy, waste, and transport within the operational supply chain Support the deployment of the ASOS Net Zero strategy and carbon reduction targets across key departments and teams Leading the ASOS approach to energy and waste management at all major operational sites including all offices and international fulfilment centres Job Requirements: Qualification & Experience: Commitment to continuous improvement and experience in delivering against ISO standards (14001 and 50001) preferably Ability to manage projects across global operations with a variety of stakeholders from different functions Substantial experience of working in a similar sustainability role in a fast-paced environment, or in a consultancy role advising e-commerce, retail, or logistics clients Able to speak knowledgeably, accurately and with confidence on current environmental matters Good communicator – must be able to speak convincingly to a range of audiences (expert/non-expert), to be able to engage people’s hearts and minds and also make a business case for new initiatives A good influencer with skills in advising and coaching others Job Details: Company: Asos Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Newport, Wales, UK Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here 247jobseeker.com
